2. The scenarios that are included are named similarly: the scenario’s that you drive the trains in simple mode in end with the letter ‘S’, the scenario’s that you operate the trains in expert mode in end with the letter ‘E’.
3. You can find the scenarios of Dutch Classics 3 in the routes Seebergbahn and Testtrak.
4. The simple mode versions of the locomotives can be used like any other standard locomotive in Railworks. The locomotives can be operated by the levers in the cabin or with the HUD (F4 on the keyboard).
5. The expert mode versions are meant to be operated from within the cabin and emulate the real way that a driver uses this locomotive. If you would like to try this mode of operation, please switch off the heads up display with the F4 key on the keyboard. In order to be able to operate the locomotive in this mode, it is required to switch on the operating power with the grey key you see on the operating panel in front of you in the cabin. After that, you can handle all the levers like regulators and brakes. Also, in expert mode it is required to press one of the red buttons with the text ‘Kwitteren’ in the cabin when you drive slower than 40 km/h, to acknowledge your attention when you hear the buzzing warning signal to do so. If you do not do this in time, the train will be brought to a stop automatically, just like the real version of this locomotive.
6. In expert mode it is required to raise both pantographs at departure, just as in the real ‘big’ example. You lower the front pantograph when you accelerate beyond 30 km/h.
7. In expert mode it is required to switch on the ventilator of the engines by pressing the correct switch on the panel in the cabin. If you do not do this, the locomotive will overheat quickly and it will be switched off automatically. If this occurs, you can fix the situation by switching on the ventilator to give cooling to the engines and by pressing the red button in the middle of the panel in the cabin.
8. In expert mode it is also possible that the locomotive switches off itself because of power overload. If this happens, yellow lights on the operation panel will light yellow in front of you in the cabin (top left on the instrument panel). You can reset this by pressing the red button firmly in the middle of the panel in the cabin.
9. Wind shield wipers, windows, doors, ashtrays and sunscreen work as in the real example. However, opening all windows and doors can cause considerable airflow noise while driving at high speeds.
