Luisa Anderlini asked - The idea of a Munich - Augsburg line is very great, but if you are realizing this line for using the ICE 3, so the line is really too short. Cologne Dusseldorf is 40 km and the ICE runs through it in 20 minutes at 160 kph, and Munich to Augsburg is only 60 km long with a speed limit of 230 kph for the ICE, so the running time would be just 20 minutes, and there is no time to enjoy the train, so please why don't you make the route a bit longer? I would prefer a delay from 20 September, but with a longer line.
Zsolt Monostori asked - Any chance we get a proper LONG prototype route for the ICE? Such as Salzburg-München, München-Stuttgart, München-Nürnberg, Frankfurt-Köln, Köln-Amsterdam...
Paul says – We always try to think through the impact on our consumers of decisions like that. The sort of route you are describing may end up costing $100 at retail and I don’t think that is what we want to do now. We are looking at new tools that may make that sort of production possible in the future but no, not at present.
